Michelle has focused on organizational change, strategy, team building, engagement and facilitation throughout her 20 year career.
Prior to consulting, she held progressively senior roles in health care. It was as Director of Communications for one of Nova Scotia’s first health authorities and as a member of its senior team during a period of major health reform that she was first introduced to organizational change. She gained further experience as the Change Lead for a Canadian insurance company as it doubled its size and market presence through acquisition.
Today, people and change are at the heart of everything she does. She helps clients navigate through the uncertainty of change and build stronger, more resilient organizations.
A key focus of her practice is supporting clients to design and lead change – from strategy through to communication and action. She is among the few Canadians who have completed an intensive course Designing and Leading Change by the Grove Consultants International in San Francisco, where she was schooled in graphic facilitation.
Michelle is a certified facilitator of Lee Hecht Harrison Knightsbridge's Leadership Essentials programs, including Coaching for Results, Change Solutions, Strategic Impact and Developing Personal Resilience.
She brings a unique perspective in organizational health to each change project. Emboldened by her research experience on the topic, she believes organizational health is a key driver of business success.
Her accreditation from the International Association of Business Communicators (ABC) recognizes her ability to align strategies with business goals and deliver on them in a way that is meaningful and yields results.
She is a proud member of 100 Women Who Care Halifax, a former Big Sister and board member, and an active volunteer with local associations and groups.
